2026 Annual Meeting Recap

Rochester Alumnae Panhellenic celebrated its 100th anniversary at the 2026 Annual Meeting, honoring a century of scholarship, service, and sisterhood. This year, the organization awarded $15,000 in scholarships to six outstanding collegiate women, recognized sisters remembered in memoriam, and installed the 2026–2027 executive board.

2026-2027 Officers Installed:

Renee Lanthier, Gamma Phi Beta – President

Cindy Howe, Zeta Tau Alpha – Vice President

Laura Tomeny, Kappa Delta – Treasurer

Tammy Teegarden, Sigma Kappa – Secretary

Members received updates on the strong financial health of the organization, including fully funded operating expenses, successful fundraising efforts, and continued growth of the endowment. The meeting also confirmed plans for a refreshed fall fundraiser—Casino Night on November 6, 2026 at Pane Vino on the Avenue—along with a full calendar of upcoming social events and philanthropic activities.

The presidential report highlighted the Mayor’s proclamation recognizing RAP’s 100th anniversary, progress on the 2030 Long‑Range Plan, expanded social programming, and increased visibility efforts across the Rochester community. Members also contributed items supporting the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of the outgoing president’s philanthropy.

Together, the meeting reflected RAP’s enduring commitment to empowering young women, strengthening interfraternal bonds, and building a vibrant future for the next century.

2025 Annual Meeting Recap

In May 1925, the Rochester City Panhellenic was officially acknowledged by the NPC as an alumnae chapter. The year prior was dedicated to gathering, hosting events, raising awareness, and supporting the local collegiate chapters. Mrs. Charles Heston from Pi Beta Phi served as the inaugural President of this new chapter. Now, 100 years later, we are thrilled to uphold the tradition of coming together for both business and fellowship!

2024 Annual Meeting Recap

The Rochester Alumnae Panhellenic met on Saturday, April 20th at Glendoveers for their 100th Annual Meeting and Spring Luncheon. The first spring luncheon was held May 10, 1924 with 77 attendees representing 12 sororities. Our charter was issued by the National Panhellenic Conference on May 1, 1925, so we are kicking off our 100th year celebration!

Sara Cronin, Phi Beta Phi and 2023-2024 RAP President opened the annual meeting and summarized the succesful year including our focus on social events and our Support our Scholars in November.

It is also customary to honor the philanthropy of the outgoing RAP President at the spring luncheon. Pi Beta Phi ‘s national philanthropy is literacy and our speaker, Juli Westrich, Delta Gamma and local librarian, presented “Pages of Change: Exploring the Evolving Role of Libraries in Promoting Literacy”. Locally, Pi Beta Phi has also supported food banks in our area and attendees to the annual meeting brought food items and toiletries that will be donated to The Pantry at SUNY Brockport. Food insecurity among college students is a consistent issue across all the SUNY schools and beyond.
